Terms of Service

Effective: May 25, 2026 · Last updated: May 25, 2026

These terms are the contract between you and Strivle. They cover who can sign up, what you can and can't do on the platform, who owns the content you post, and how we handle disputes. By creating an account or using Strivle, you agree to be bound by them.

1. Who we are

Strivle (the "Service") is operated by Sebastian Mattsson, an individual based in Sweden (referred to in these terms as "we", "us", "Strivle"). Reach us at support@strivle.com for general questions or privacy@strivle.com for privacy and legal matters.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Strivle. By creating an account you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are between 13 and the age of digital majority in your country (typically 16 or 18), you also confirm that a parent or guardian permits your use of the Service.

You must have the legal capacity to enter into this contract. If you're creating an account on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account, which means:

  • Keeping your password (or OAuth login) secure.
  • Everything done from your account — even if someone else does it because they got your password.
  • Telling us at privacy@strivle.com promptly if you think your account is compromised.
  • Keeping your account information (email, profile) accurate.
  • Not creating multiple accounts to evade enforcement of these terms or to game the leaderboard.

4. Acceptable use

We try to keep moderation light. The non-negotiables are below. Anything in this list is grounds for content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban without notice.

You may not use Strivle to:

  • Post anything illegal under Swedish or EU law, including content that infringes intellectual property, defames an identifiable person, or violates export controls.
  • Post child sexual abuse material ("CSAM"), non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that sexualizes minors. Zero tolerance — we will report to NCMEC and / or Swedish authorities.
  • Threaten, harass, dox, stalk, or incite violence against any person or group.
  • Post content that targets people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected attributes with the intent to demean or dehumanize.
  • Run scams, phishing, financial fraud, fake-investment pitches, or fake-revenue claims through the verified-revenue surface.
  • Spam — bulk DMs, mass mentions of unrelated users, repeated identical posts, scraped/auto-generated low-value content.
  • Impersonate another person, brand, or organization in a way intended to deceive.
  • Interfere with the Service — vulnerability scanning we didn't authorize, DDoS, automated scraping at rates that affect other users, attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
  • Circumvent rate limits, RLS policies, or any technical or administrative measure we use to enforce these terms.
  • Use the Service or any data you obtain from it (including by scraping public profiles) to train any AI/ML model, without our prior written permission.

We may remove content, throttle accounts, suspend, or ban for violations. Severe violations (CSAM, credible violent threats) will be reported to law enforcement.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post on Strivle — your posts, replies, messages, profile, project info. Posting something doesn't transfer copyright to us.

To make the Service work, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, format, and distribute your content on Strivle — and to show snippets on social-media preview cards and in search-engine results when you make content publicly visible. This license exists only as long as your content does; it terminates automatically when you delete the content (subject to the backup-retention notes in our Privacy Policy).

You are responsible for the content you post. By posting, you confirm you have the right to do so — you own it, or you have permission from whoever does, or it's lawfully in the public domain.

We may remove content that violates these terms or that we receive a credible legal complaint about, without notice.

6. Verified revenue (Stripe Connect)

Strivle has an opt-in feature that verifies your monthly recurring revenue by reading it directly from Stripe.

  • You authorize us to read a limited subset of your Stripe data (subscriptions, business name) using a restricted API key you create.
  • Connecting Stripe means your verified MRR and Stripe-reported business name will be displayed publicly next to your handle on the leaderboard and profile.
  • You may not falsify revenue (e.g. routing self-payments through Stripe to inflate MRR). We may verify and may remove or ban accounts found to be gaming it.
  • You can disconnect at any time under Settings. Disconnecting removes your verified MRR display within minutes; cached data is cleared within 7 days.
  • Stripe's own Connected Account Agreement governs your relationship with Stripe; these terms govern your relationship with us.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what data we collect and how we use it. By using Strivle, you also agree to that policy.

8. Disclaimers

Strivle is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties — express or implied — about fitness for any particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that Strivle will be uninterrupted, error- free, secure against every threat, or that any specific content (yours or others') will remain available. Verified revenue figures are based on what Stripe reports; we do not independently audit your business and we are not responsible for inaccuracies in Stripe's data.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under Swedish or EU law (notably under Konsumentkoplagen or directives transposed into Swedish law).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption — arising out of or in connection with your use of Strivle, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the Service is capped at the greater of (a) EUR 100, or (b) any amounts you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Strivle is currently free, so for most users this cap is EUR 100.

Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Swedish law.

10. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these terms, or (d) your violation of any third party's rights. Consumers using Strivle for personal, non-commercial purposes have this obligation only to the extent allowed under Swedish consumer protection law.

11. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time under Settings — deletion is irreversible and removes your data subject to the retention windows in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if doing so is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, or if your account creates risk for us or other users. Where reasonable, we'll give you notice and a chance to cure first; for severe violations (illegal content, immediate safety risks) we may act without notice.

Sections 5 (your content license, as it relates to content still hosted), 8 (disclaimers), 9 (liability), 10 (indemnification), and 13 (governing law) survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. When we do, we'll bump the "last updated" date and — for material changes — give you at least 30 days' notice by email or an in-app banner before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the new terms; if you don't accept them, your option is to stop using Strivle.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought before the competent court in Sweden.

If you are a consumer resident in an EU member state, you may additionally have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence and to rely on mandatory consumer protections that apply there — nothing in these terms removes that right.

The EU offers an Online Dispute Resolution platform for consumers, although we generally prefer to resolve issues directly — please email us first.

14. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • You can't transfer your account or your rights under these terms to anyone else; we can transfer ours in connection with a sale, merger, or restructuring.
  • These terms — together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy — are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Strivle.
