An AI powered changelog generator for GitHub
Quick update regarding the Forkd AI VS Code extension: We've temporarily pulled it from the VS Code Marketplace.
During recent testing, we ran into a few significant bugs and stability issues that degraded the experience, so we decided to take it offline while we overhaul the codebase.
We’re actively fixing these core issues and polishing the integration. In the meantime, you can still use the web platform at forkd-ai.com to generate and host your changelogs.
I’ll post another update here as soon as the revised version is back up on the marketplace. Thanks for your patience!
Two months ago, I launched Forkd as a simple AI changelog generator. The initial response gave me plenty of feedback on what was missing, so I spent the last few weeks rebuilding it into a full Changelog Hub.
Instead of just generating text from git commits, Forkd now lets you host, format, and share your changelogs publicly or with your team from a single place.
What’s new:
Public Changelog Hosting: Share clean, hosted release notes directly with your users via a dedicated link.
Expanded Limits: Significantly increased generation and repo limits across all tiers.
Better Output Control: Finer control over tone, technical depth, and commit filtering.
Improved Git Integration: You can now directly push the commits to Github.

We just pushed a major update and several bug fixes to Forkd AI (forkd-ai.com).
What’s new:
GitHub Account Linking: You can now link your GitHub account from your settings. This allows you to sign in using different authentication methods under the same email address.
Visual Repo Dashboard: You can now view your entire list of GitHub repositories directly on our site. Just click a repo to automatically fetch your latest commits and pull requests.
Bug Fixes:
GitHub Login Issue: Fixed a bug where users couldn't log in via GitHub if their email address was already associated with another login method. You can now use multiple sign-in options seamlessly with the same email.

Batch processing: You can now fetch from multiple GitHub repos at once and generate all your changelogs simultaneously.
Templates: Choose how detailed you want your changelog to be. Options include Standard, Compact, Detailed, Keep a Changelog, and Release Notes.
