I've been developing software for a while now that solves a real problem, but this software started when I was just starting out and contains bad code, poor decisions, and dead features. I plan to make the software open source, which was actually killing me at the beginning because I was desperately trying to monetize it. But I think it's better to release it open source with a permissive license. Maybe I can monetize it later with a platform on top of it. What do you think? Would you release something like this?😅
