Full time dad and consultant - vibe coding is my new go to for therapy :)
Shipped my first public CryptView milestone: Splunkbase beta is live
Small but real founder milestone today: CryptView for Splunk is now live on Splunkbase.
CryptView is my early-stage cybersecurity product focused on cryptographic asset visibility, TLS/certificate inventory, CBOM-style reporting, and post-quantum readiness evidence. CryptView helps security teams see where cryptography is used across their environment- certificates, TLS endpoints, keys, algorithms, expiry risks, and early post-quantum readiness indicators - and visualise that evidence inside Splunk (more SIEM/Observability) destinations on the roadmap).
The Splunk app is not the full platform yet. It is the first public piece, a beta/community preview that visualises crypto inventory data and helps validate whether security, PKI, SIEM, and infrastructure teams actually want this type of visibility inside Splunk.
Current status:
Splunkbase app published
First downloads showing
Feedback form ready
Collector/CLI and broader platform still evolving
My next goal is simple: get early feedback from Splunk, PKI, SIEM, and security practitioners before overbuilding the platform.
Biggest lesson so far: building the tool is one thing; explaining the problem clearly enough for others to care is the harder part.
Would appreciate feedback from other founders/builders on positioning, early user discovery, and how to turn a technical MVP into proper pilot conversations.
