I’m in a very similar situation right now, so I understand this.
I recently launched an app too, and building it was one challenge, but getting people to notice it is a completely different one. You can post everywhere, get some impressions but still feel not much is really happening.
Everyone is competing for attention, so you have to be really creative with your approach.
But I really hope you keep going. The problem you’re solving seems like a genuinely useful one.
Honestly, hearing this from someone who's going through the same thing helps a lot :)
I think the part that surprised me most is that building the product felt way more predictable than getting people to discover it. and yeah, the attention economy is brutal 💀 so what kind of app did you launch, and have you found any channels that brought even a small amount of real users so far?
That's exactly the problem, not being able to predict (which means not being able to plan for it too).
I've launched Ayah Player. A streaming audio player for Qu'ran without any ads, subscriptions or paywalls.
I've not done too much to market it, couple of videos in TikTok, but that's about it.
