A Chrome extension that converts Amazon prices into ETF shares and hilariously redirects you to SPY to stop impulse buys.

Hey Strivlers! π
I realized I was spending way too much money on random Amazon stuff I didn't need, so I built a tool to stop myself for FIRE.
I just shipped Road to FIRE, a free, open-source Chrome extension that fights impulse buying.
How it works: It intercepts your checkout on e-commerce sites. π It instantly converts your cart total into ETF shares (e.g., "This equals 0.218 shares of SPY/VOO") to show your real opportunity cost.
If you click "Save for FIRE", it redirects you away from the store and straight to the Yahoo Finance SPY page.
My 4 close friends tested it out. They found it hilarious but surprisingly useful π
It's my first time building a Chrome extension. I'd genuinely love for you guys to try it out, roast the code, or give me any feedback on the UX!
