Why you’re losing money by waiting to reply
The Email You Have Been Avoiding For Four Days
Write Your No On A Good Day. The Price Increase. The Decline. The Unpaid Invoice.
There is an email in your inbox you have not answered for four days. It is not hard because it is long. It is hard because it is uncomfortable: the price increase, the decline, the invoice nobody paid. So you delay, and the delay costs more than the message ever would. Write those three once, calmly, on a good day. Save them as triggers. Then when your nerve is gone, three letters says it for you in the tone you chose while you were thinking clearly. Deals Don't Die From "No." They Die From Silence.
The 2-Second Email That Gets You Paid
Most deals and invoices don't die from a "no" — they die from silence. And you stay silent because writing a chase email feels heavy. /followup makes it weightless: two seconds, name tabs in, sent. The polite nudge that's been sitting in your head for nine days, out before your coffee cools.
